My professional career began at Bellevue Hospital’s psychiatric emergency services and at the men’s shelter on 30th Street.

Before entering graduate school I met a disabled panhandler at a train station. That encounter impacted me and it led me to question why some people barely survive while others find ways to thrive.

A few years later, I graduated as a distinguished student from the MSW program at New York University. I went on to provide supervision, crisis support, and training on mental health topics.

As my work evolved, I became more interested in the connection between emotional life and mind-body medicine. This led me to study mindfulness and meditation with the Chopra Institute, where I also became a contributing writer for Dr. Deepak Chopra’s global platform on the intersection of mental health and wellbeing. These experiences continue to shape how I understand people and how I work as a therapist.

As a native New Yorker, I understand the pressures of living and working in this city. I listen carefully, ask thoughtful questions, and help people explore what feels true for them at a pace that feels manageable.

My approach integrates a mindfulness lens, psychodynamic understanding, and tools from DBT and CBT to help you reach your true potential.
