Life Lesson: Nervously I climbed rickety set of stairs to the top of an elephant. The ride took us though Kanha National Park, India to get a glimpse of a resting tiger in the wild. “Quiet your breathing, we don’t want to arose the resting tiger” the guide ordered. Circling above were vultures. I could hear my heart beating in my head. Yet, somewhere between the stretch of tall fields and trees, I let go. And my mind stopped racing. I allowed the experience to Be.
This work is about who you really are and what you are capable of being. The mind cannot figure out certain things. Rather than feeling stuck or stressed, you have the opportunity to discover your true potential.
I’ve offered traditional anger management and high-conflict divorce counseling for many years. Hundreds of men and women transformed their lives. Although, I continue to provide high-conflict divorce counseling, conflict ends when its disarmed at the core. At that point, highly effective intervention becomes possible. More recently, I’ve included time-tested practices that create a radical shift in wellness. Unlike traditional counseling that treats symptoms, mindfulness-based counseling helps you observe your experiences and not become absorbed by them. This time-tested approach blends western psychology with eastern philosophy.
The teachings and practices allow you to:
- Calm your mind and think clearly
- Move beyond the activity of the mind
- Neutralize conflict
- Expand self-awareness
- Redefine your perceptions and concept of reality
- Learn techniques and tools to calm the central nervous system
- Heal from negative thinking and self-talk
- Decrease stress
- Feel alive and vibrant
Do less and fiercely change the course of your life. There’s no better time like the present to maximize your full potential and transform your life.
